Gov. Hochul Says COVID-19 Vaccines For Younger Kids Coming Soon

Governor Hochul says parents may not have to wait too much longer to get their young children vaccinated against COVID-19.

Hochul said on Wednesday that immunizations for kids between the ages of five and 11 could begin as soon as next week. The final determination will be made by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who still must approve the use of vaccines for children in that age group. The governor says the state has already been working with pediatricians to come up with a vaccine distribution plan. The shots will also be available at pharmacies.
