Former Republican Assembly Leader Brian Kolb Pleads Guilty to DWAI

The man who was once the highest-ranking Republican in the New York State Assembly has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.

In court Monday, former Minority Leader Brian Kolb admitted to drinking before crashing his vehicle into a ditch in front of his residence in the Town of Victor back in December 2019. Kolb pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired and will have to pay a fine and have his license suspended for 90 days. Kolb resigned from office shortly after being arrested and said that he wouldn't run for his Assembly seat again.
