It's looking more like Mayor Bill de Blasio will make a run for Governor next year.
Friends say he has made the decision to mount a campaign. Politico New York is reporting that de Blasio is finishing forms needed by the state Board of Elections to run for Governor. Monday night on NY1 de Blasio would not say what his future plans would be once he steps down as Mayor come January. If he jumps into the race for the Democratic nomination next year, he will have to face off against Governor Kathy Hochul and New York Attorney General Letitia James who are both running.
