After months of construction, work on the brand-new Albany Skyway is expected to be complete in December.
Crews have hard at work revamping the former Clinton Avenue Interstate 787 ramp into an elevated park. The state Department of Transportation says sidewalks on the Skyway overpass and a new concrete deck overlay still need to be finished. Fencing, electrical and water lines and soil also need to be installed. Officials say the Skyway will give pedestrians and cyclists a safer way to reach the Corning Preserve park and Mohawk Hudson Valley Hike Bike Trail.
