Former Guilderland High School hoops star Andrew Platek won't be taking the court for the rest of the season as a member of the Siena men's basketball team.
The Saints said Monday the injury Platek suffered during a December 3rd game against Manhattan was a tear to his Achilles tendon. Platek underwent surgery this past Friday and is expected to need about four months of rehabilitation. This season, Platek averaged nine points in the five games he played.
