A truck driver has been ticketed by Glenville police after the tractor-trailer he was driving struck a bridge in the town. Officials say 51-year-old Faiz Al-Maweri was driving on Glenridge Road Monday when the vehicle hit the span, causing the top of the trailer to get sheared off and causing a long cleanup. The bridge has been hit several times in the last few years and the state DOT recently unveiled a plan to install electronic detection devices warning drivers of the low bridge. That project will likely be completed sometime next year.
