Troy police have announced the arrest of a woman who allegedly injured and abandoned a puppy earlier this month.
According to police, a passerby noticed the animal in a box at a gas station and they've now charged 34-year-old Khadijah Davis in connection with the case. The dog had several serious injuries including a fractured jaw and broken ribs and underwent multiple surgeries and is now with a foster family. The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society says it'll likely be months before the puppy has a permanent home.
