The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee has released the results of the recent Super Bowl weekend crackdown on impaired driving.
Between February 11th and the 14th, police agencies statewide handed out 919 tickets to people who were under the influence behind the wheel. There were also more than 26,000 other tickets issued for a variety of violations including distracted driving, speeding and seatbelt violations. The STOP-DWI "Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign happens several times each year in an effort to keep everyone safe on the roads.
