State Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the owners of a dog who was found dead in Rensselaer County.
They say the animal was a German short aired pointer who is mostly brown and white with large cyst on his front left paw. The dog appears to have been shot to death and its remains were recovered Friday near some power lines off of Stewart Lane in Sand Lake. Anyone who has information on this case is asked to contact State Police.
