Officials at Ellis Hospital say effective Monday, 24/7 patient care is being put on pause at its medical center in Clifton Park.
The change is being made due to staffing shortages that have made it difficult to provide overnight treatment. The facility on Sitterly Road is still going to be open daily from 7:00 am until 9:30 pm. The ER at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady will also remain open around-the-clock for anyone who needs urgent care. Ellis says full service will resume in Clifton Park as soon as staffing levels allows.
