A shelter in place order for homes near the Tobin's First Prize building in Colonie has been lifted following a hazardous materials situation.
Crews who are working to demolish the building accidentally struck an old ammonia pipeline Monday which led to a leak. People living nearby reported feeling sick due to the fumes and everyone in the area was told to stay indoors as a precaution. A team from state Department of Conservation was called to the scene and the agency is still looking into the incident.
