President Biden has nominated an attorney from the Capital Region to serve as a federal judge in New York's Northern District.
Anne Nardacci, who grew up in East Greenbush, was chosen by Mister Biden to fill the position that's been open for years after U.S. District Judge Gary Sharpe moved into senior status. Nardacci's nomination is now going to be reviewed by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. If she ends up being confirmed by the Senate, Nardacci would become the second woman to be seated on the Northern District bench.
