A Halfmoon man is in trouble with the law after being arrested by Colonie police on DWI and weapon charges.
An officer spotted a vehicle on Central Avenue near the Price Chopper last Thursday and noticed the driver committing several traffic violations. After pulling the vehicle over, the officer realized the man behind the wheel, 41-year-old Brian Thompson, was intoxicated. Thompson also had a loaded handgun in the glovebox of the vehicle that he didn't have a permit for. Thompson was arraigned and has been released on bail.
