Governor Hochul says flags on state buildings will be lowered to half-staff Monday in honor of the 10 people who lost their lives during the mass shooting in Buffalo over the weekend.
On Saturday, 18-year-old Payton Gendron allegedly opened fire at a Tops supermarket in an attack that officials are calling a hate crime. In a statement, the governor said that an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and that we must confront white supremacy head on. She went on to say that her heart is with the victims and their families. The governor says flags should remain lowered until everyone who was killed is laid to rest.
