Capital Region drivers are now paying more than ever to fill up their vehicles as gas prices soar to a brand-new record high.
According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel is now $494. That's up $.18 in the past week, $.46 in the past month and is $1.89 cents higher than this time last year. The state average is now $5.00 a gallon while nationally it's $4.97.
