Thousands of people will be gathering in Albany Monday for the largest July 4th celebration in the Capital Region.
The event is happening at the Empire State Plaza from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
In addition to a massive fireworks show, there will be food trucks and also a performance from the musical group Starship featuring Mickey Thomas. The Office of General Services has teamed up with Price Chopper/Market 32 to put on this free event since 1976.
