Governor Hochul says she hasn't made a decision yet on who she'll nominate to be the new chief judge of the state's highest court.
But, the governor did promise Wednesday that she'll select a thoughtful individual to replace Janet DiFiore on the Court of Appeals. Earlier this week, DiFiore announced she's resigning from her position at the end of August because she wants to move onto the next chapter of her life. Whoever Governor Hochul chooses will need to be confirmed by the State Senate.
