Governor Hochul says police agencies are making significant progress towards getting illegal guns off the streets.
The governor announced Wednesday that thanks to the efforts of the Interstate Gun Task Force, more than 6,000 illegal weapons were seized during the first seven months of the year. That's a 20 % jump from the same time period last year. The governor says that her administration is focused on stopping the devastation caused by gun violence and that bold action will continue to be taken to face the crisis head-on.
