Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan has announced that she's tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Sheehan said that she began experiencing mild, allergy-like symptoms of the virus late Sunday night. Sheehan went on to say that she's thankful to be vaccinated and boosted because if she wasn't her illness would likely be worse. She's planning to follow the proper health and safety protocols, including remaining in isolation, and will perform her mayoral duties virtually.
