A public hearing is being held Tuesday night to the discuss the 2023 budget proposal that's been laid out by Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy.
The fiscal plan calls for keeping property taxes flat, but water rates would go up by approximately $1.00 a month and sewer rates would go up by roughly $2.00 a month. The total cost of the budget, which needs to be approved by November 1st, is projected to be more than $103-million. Tuesday night's meeting begins at 7:00 pm at City Hall.
