The Bethlehem Central School District has taken action to try and improve the safety of its students.
On Tuesday, the district started the process of installing stop-arm cameras on each of its school buses. The hope is the cameras will serve a deterrent to people who might decide to pass a school bus while it's stopped. The cameras will record the license plate of the offending vehicle and a video clip of the violation and that data will be sent to police to determine if a driver should be ticketed.
