A very familiar face is going to be on the sidelines when the Albany Patroons take the court for the 2023 season.
On Wednesday, the franchise announced that Derrick Rowland will be returning as the team's head coach. Rowland's relationship with the Patroons goes back to 1982 when he was a practice player and he also coached the team a few years ago. Rowland says he is excited to be back with the Patroons and is looking forward to creating more memories. He replaces Will Brown who left the position so that he can focus on a return to coaching college basketball.
