A police officer in Mesa, Arizona has been charged with second-degree murder after he shot and killed an unarmed man in a hotel hallway. However, the jury in the case has found him not guilty. But, his chest-cam footage has been released online and people greatly disagree with the verdict.
Officer Brailsford, one of six responding officers, was fired from the Mesa Police Department shortly after the shooting. The call came in that a 26-year-old named Daniel Shaver was seen with a gun at a window on the fifth floor of the La Quinta Inn and Suites. Turns out the gun was a pellet gun and he wasn't armed with it when officers called him out of the room.
