A letter written by an 8th grade student at Hudson Falls Middle School has gone viral.
14-year old Mikenzie Willard wrote the letter, a thank you note, to the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
She thanked deputies for making everything seem ok after a threat to her school recently. The deputies were there at the entrance with smiles and giving the kids high fives.
Mikenzie thanked the Sheriff and his people for making her feel safe and for caring.
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Office says the letter means the world to them and that no matter what side of the gun debate you are on; it's all about the kids.
