Land Where Frontier Town Once Stood to Become Campground

It’s a new life on the way for an old western themed amusement park just off the Northway in the Adirondacks.

Frontier Town at Exit 29 in North Hudson closed its doors about 20 years ago, but thanks to an infusion of state money, the land will be turned into a campground with equestrian trails.

DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos says the campground could be open by late summer or early fall, and then open to overnight visitors next summer.

Also on tap for the site, Paradox Brewery, opening a new tasting room.

That should be open by next year.
