The head of the town of Bolton's wastewater plant is facing a total of 10 criminal charges.
Prosecutors say Thomas French fabricated test results at the plant to show that it was in compliance with state regulations, when it really wasn't.
French entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment in Albany County Court on Tuesday.
Officials say this has absolutely nothing to do with the town's drinking water.
Most get their drinking water out of wells anyway.
French is facing up to four years in prison and a possible $10,000 fine.
