Former WNYT Reporter Sues WTEN Parent Company for Negligence

A former reporter for News Channel 13 is suing Channel 10's parent company for negligence over a shoulder injury he claims was caused by a photographer. 

Ben Amey is reportedly seeking $1 million in damages.

Nexstar Broadcasting and Media General, both identified in the suit as parent companies of WTEN, are named as defendants. 

According to the Gazette Amey contends a news photographer dropped his camera on Amey's shoulder. 

The extent of Amey's injury isn't described in the suit, but Amey has said it led to surgery. 

The photographer is not named in the suit.
