There’s a new honor for a legendary hero.
Tuesday is the 100th anniversary of Sgt. Henry Johnson's battle in France, in which he fought off nearly two dozen German soldiers to save a comrade, despite being seriously wounded by a grenade.
In recognition of the anniversary, Albany dealer Ferris Coin has commissioned 500 medallions in Johnson's memory.
It took decades for Johnson's bravery to be recognized by this country, but he was finally awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama three years ago.
