AG Targets Pet Store Chain at Crossgates & Other Locations

Puppies

New York's Acting Attorney General wants to shut down a pet store chain.

Barbara Underwood says The Pet Zone has broken many laws, including selling puppies without the necessary veterinary exams, medicating puppies improperly, and destroying records to avoid detection.

The Pet Zone has an outlet at Crossgates Mall.

They also have stores in Queensbury, Watertown and Poughkeepsie.

The AG's office says a temporary restraining order has been issued prohibiting The Pet Zone from obtaining any new dogs for sale
