Plane Crashes in Vermont, One Person Dies

Search crews  have  found the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in the area of Bald Mountain in Bennington County on Sunday afternoon. 

Vermont State Police say contact was lost with the Piper PA-34 aircraft as it was flying over Bennington County at about 3:30 in the afternoon.  

The FAA says the pilot was alone, and on Monday night, State Police identified the person that died as the pilot, 31 year old Ramsey Sampson Ah-Nee of Manchester Connecticut.
