Barbara Underwood Confirmed as State AG for Rest of the Year

Barbara Underwood

State lawmakers have passed a resolution confirming Barbara Underwood as Attorney General through the end of the year.

Underwood, the state's Solicitor General, took over when Eric Schneiderman resigned earlier this month.

Gov. Cuomo says Underwood is a "brilliant legal mind" who will provide strong leadership and continuity.

However, Underwood has said she will not be on the ballot for the AG's job this fall.
