UAlbany Men's Lacrosse Team Scheduled for Today's NCAA National Semifinal

The UAlbany men's lacrosse team is looking to improve on the best season in program history, when it takes on Yale in today's N.C.A.A. national semifinal.

Head Coach Scott Marr tells WGY the team was not discouraged by the fact that it had lost in its four previous quarterfinal appearances.

"We go about our business, and we just were fortunate this year that we were able to make the next step, but I certainly felt like some of my teams in the past could have been in this exact, same position, if we had a balance or two in one of those quarterfinal games."

Coach Marr says the team's attitude has played a key role in its success.

"We feel like having fun and being enthusiastic and being positive is a huge part of our success, and really a huge part of how the game should be played, so we're really proud of the fact that we are individuals, but at the same time, we are a very strong team."

Yale won the two team's regular season meeting.
