Two people are dead in a series of events that police believe are connected, and resulted in the shutdown of I-90 near the 787 interchange for several hours.
Acting Police Chief Robert Sears says officers were called to the area of Erie Boulevard and Erie Street Sunday afternoon.
They found a woman in the street with severe injuries.
At about the same time, cops got a call that a man was hit by a car while trying to cross I-90 near the 787 interchange.
The woman was pronounced dead at Albany Med.
Sears says officers believe the man and woman were involved in a fight and the man ran onto the highway where he was killed.
Their names still haven't been released.
