The July heat wave comes to an end with heavy rain and flooding in parts of Albany County on Thursday.
Temperatures have been in the 90's for six days, the longest such stretch in the past five years.
Heavy rain hit the area Thursday, causing flash flooding in Albany and Bethlehem.
Several cars stalled in water in the Harriman Campus Loop off of Western Avenue.
Flooding also reported at the intersection of Western and Brookline.
Other problems reported on stretches of Manning Boulevard in Albany, and the intersection of Central and Colvin.
High temperatures Friday forecast to be only in the low 80's.
