A record number of young people are taking part in Albany's Summer Youth Employment Program this year.
According to the Times-Union more than 1,100 teens between 14 and 18 years of age have signed up for part-time jobs at local businesses and institutions.
This year's program is also described as one of the most diverse in its history.
According to the paper more than 100 teens with alien resident cards have signed up.
The program begins this Monday and ends on August 10th.
