One Arrest, One Court Date in Separate Albany Homicides

There has been an arrest, and a court appearance in two recent homicides in Albany.

26 year old Shaquille Moore has been arrested in connection with the June 12th shooting of Equan Fallen on Livingston Avenue.

Meanwhile, Lahquann Grady has entered a not guilty plea to two counts of murder in the July 5th stabbing of Rashaun Byrd, and remains behind bars at the Albany County jail.

There have been 8 homicides in Albany this year, three in the last month.

Police Department spokesman Steve Smith says they need the public's help to stop the surge in violence.

Smith adds that officers have been working extra hours to get a grip on the surge of gun violence in the city.
