New Poll Supports Cuomo, Gillibrand, and "Undecided" for AG

Election 2016

According to a new Quinnipiac University poll, if the election for New York Governor were held today, Andrew Cuomo would win reelection.

Cuomo tops challenger Cynthia Nixon 59-23 % in a Democratic primary, up from the 50-28 % lead Cuomo had in May.

In an Election Day matchup, Cuomo leads Republican Marc Molinaro 43-23%, Nixon with 13%, Libertarian Larry Sharpe 3%, Green Party Howie Hawkins 2%, and Serve America Movement Stephanie Miner 1%.

When Cuomo faces Molinaro alone, his lead is 57-31%.

Meanwhile, there's no clear leader in the State Attorney General's race.

In the Democratic primary, "Undecided" leads with 42%, but Letitia James 26% nearly matches other candidates combined.

In the US Senate race, Democrat incumbent Sen. Kristin Gillibrand leads Republican challenger Chele Farley 57-30%.
