Town of Milton Can't Come Up With Money for Camp Boyhaven

Camp Boyhaven

Time is up.

The Boy Scouts Twin Rivers Council is telling the Milton Town Board it's out of time to come up with the money to buy the 300 acre Camp Boyhaven.

The town has been working for months to put a financial package together to come up with the $1 million price tag for the campground.

Board member Barry Zlotnick says the council turned down an extra $20,000 for a little more time.

Zlotnick adds he's deeply disappointed that the deal fell through, saying the town has missed out on a big opportunity.

The town will get its $500,000 deposit back.

Larry Woolbright, chairman of the town's Planning Board says it's time to move on.

According to the Times Union Saratoga Springs-based Prime Group Holdings is now looking to acquire the campground.
