Attorney General Barbara Underwood joins eight other Attorneys General in a lawsuit against the federal government, dealing with blueprints people could use to make 3D printed guns.
The coalition is suing Texas group, Defense Distributed, which is attempting to post blueprints for untraceable plastic guns, asking for a temporary restraining order against the organization, which wants to show online how to create a gun using a 3D printer.
The State Department settled a suit with Defense Distributed earlier this year that allows the company to post the plans, but Underwood says the release of the blueprints violates state law.
She calls it "crazy" to give criminals the tools to build a 3D gun at the touch of a button. The plans could go online as early as Wednesday.
