Gov. Cuomo has signed a bill to create a statewide commission that will look into allegations of misconduct by local district attorneys and their assistants.
According to the Times Union this comes in spite of a recent analysis by the Attorney General's office that found the legislation was poorly written and might not withstand a court challenge.
Cuomo's office says that can be handled by amending the legislation when lawmakers return to Albany for their 2019 session.
