We now know the number of employees who will be getting layoff notices from Global Foundries in Malta.
The company now says 424 people will be losing their jobs.
Town Supervisor Vince De Lucia says they're ready to help any of those people who are residents of the town.
Meanwhile, another 31 workers will be laid off at SUNY Poly in Albany.
The layoffs are said to be part of a dramatic shift in the company's business model, and restructuring operations in Malta.
The layoffs are expected to begin at the end of November, the week after Thanksgiving.
