There was a big crowd at Congress Park in Saratoga Springs Tuesday evening, as people braved the heat to show their support for immigrants.
The event, entitled "All are Welcome," was designed to allow people to reflect on someone in their lives who came here from another country.
People walked to the park from three different locations in the city, each spot meant to symbolize immigrants in some way, whether it was track workers or those from other countries who settled in a specific neighborhood.
Organizer Maxine Lautenberg says this was about people, not politics, adding that our lives have all been touched by those who've come here from other countries.
At the park, immigrants shared their stories and everyone lit a candle for a moment of silence.
