Cuomo 6-1 Lead in NYC, 23 Points Upstate, 99.6 % Chance of Third Term

They love him in New York City, but not so much upstate.

A new Quinnipiac University poll gives Gov. Cuomo a 6-1 lead in New York City, and statewide a 23-point lead over challenger Marc Molinaro.

77% of likely voters in New York City back the governor, while upstate, the Dutchess County Executive holds a 9-point lead.

Meanwhile the 538 election forecast model says Cuomo has a 99.6% chance of defeating Molinaro and winning a third term.

They’re estimating Cuomo will get over 59% of the statewide vote.

The poll also shows 60% of voters across the state disapprove of the job President Trump is doing.

But, again, a lot of that comes from the city, where 73% disapprove.

Upstate, voters are divided.

The poll says 49% approve and 48% disapprove.
