No Euthanasia, Yet, for Luna the Pit Bull

It’s a reprieve for Luna.

The six-year-old pit bull mix won’t be euthanized, for now.

You'll recall the dog was ordered euthanized by the city of Troy after biting a neighbor's dog.

A Rensselaer County Judge has put a stay on that order, pending an appeal by the dog's owner.

Todd Cramer, CEO and President of the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, Luna will be treated very well while she's at the shelter.

Cramer says euthanizing Luna went against their values, and what the organization represents.
