New information is out in connection with a deadly limousine crash in Schoharie.

According to the Times Union the owner of the vehicle apparently found a way around the state’s inspection process after buying it in 2016.

The Ford Excursion was supposed to be looked at by the state DOT every six months, but instead, it was improperly inspected by businesses licensed by the DMV.

The most recent inspection reportedly was in May at a shop in Saratoga Springs.

Eighteen people and two bystanders were killed in the October tragedy, which is still being investigated by the NTSB.
