Flag Burning Incidents Being Investigated by Albany Police

Crime Scene

Albany police are investigating three separate incidents in the past week in which a flag was burned.

Officers responded to the 800 block of New Scotland Avenue last Thursday after someone burned a rainbow flag and left it on the front porch.

Then Saturday, reports came in of two other cases of a flag burning.

Police say a Canadian flag taken off a house on Woodlawn Avenue, was burned, and left on the sidewalk.

And, on Hansen Avenue, a South Korean flag was found burned and in the driveway of a home.

Police say it's possible this could be a hate crime.

No suspects or arrests at this point.
