Nearly A Third Of Americans Never Travel Solo

More than 30% of Americans say that they have never traveled alone.  According to a new survey conducted by Allianz Global Assistance, those who have are more than five times as likely to travel domestically than internationally. Women are 10% less likely to travel alone than men.  Around 40% of women who have traveled solo say that they have been sexually harassed during their journey, compared with 11.6% of men.  Security and safety are concerns for both genders with almost 27% of Americans citing this as their biggest worry when traveling alone.
