Allegiant begins non-stop service from Albany to three Florida cities Wednesday.
The low-cost carrier will offer year-round flights to St. Pete-Clearwater, Punta Gorda, and Sanford, with one-way fares as low as $62.
Speaking at an event to announce the service back in August, Airport CEO John O'Donnell said more competition to popular destinations will mean lower fares all around.
Spokesperson Michelle Whaley says they're confident year-round flights from Albany to Florida will be profitable.
