There is another voice in favor of sparing "Luna."
That's the dog who was initially sentenced to be euthanized by the city of Troy after a confrontation with another animal back in October.
Now, City Council President Carmella Mantello is asking Mayor Patrick Madden's administration to immediately withdraw all complaints and dismiss all charges.
Mantello says it would be humanitarian and in line with the holiday season.
Last week, State Sen. Jim Tedisco asked Gov. Cuomo to formally pardon the 6-year-old mixed-breed dog.
Negotiations are underway, but attorneys for the Humane Society say it could take months to resolve.
