Despite the fact that no criminal charges will be filed in this past summer's police-involved shooting of Ellazar Williams, the case is apparently headed to court.
Williams' attorneys file a federal lawsuit against detective James Olsen and two other Albany detectives.
Olsen fired at least two shots at Williams, one shot hit him, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
Olsen has said he was threatened by Williams after confronting the teen in a courtyard on Elk Street, and that Williams had a knife.
Williams' lawyers say they have a video showing their client running away from detectives and being shot in the back.
